Early Life
Sharon Reed was born in the United States of America. She holds American nationality and belongs to African-American ethnicity/race. She is a graduate of Georgetown University.
Later she acquired her Master's degree in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
Career
Sharon Reed began her career as an on-air correspondent at the syndicated radio program 'American Journal.' Later, She went on to work on WOIO/WUAB (Cleveland), WCAU (Philadelphia), WSVN (Miami), and WMAR (Baltimore) where she stayed for ten years.
In 2005, she joined the Cleveland Cavaliers as sideline reporter where she served for nearly seven months.

Currently, she works at Meredith Corporation which she joined in October 2012. She presents the news at WGCL CBS affiliate in Atlanta and also anchor news at 4, 5, 6, 11 pm alongside Ben Swann.
